Best Power Automate course in Singapore: how to choose (2026)

This guide is published by Intellisoft. We run several of the courses recommended here. · Last updated 11 October 2026

Short answer: if your repetitive office work lives in Outlook, Excel, SharePoint or Teams, a 2-day hands-on Power Automate course is the quickest way to automate it without writing code. Build Automated Processes With Power Automate is 16 hours and costs S$468 with 70% funding (S$1,308 without). If you also want to build simple business apps (forms, data screens) on top of those flows, choose Mastering Power Apps & Power Automate instead. If Power Automate is already part of your Microsoft 365 licence and you only need one or two simple flows, Microsoft’s free learning material may be enough.

What to check before you book

  • Funding. SSG-funded (WSQ or SkillsFuture-registered) courses carry a course reference starting with TGS. Singapore Citizens aged 40+ and SME-sponsored staff get 70% off the course fee; other eligible Citizens and PRs get 50%. SkillsFuture Credit, SFEC and UTAP can cover more of the balance.
  • Your Microsoft 365 licence. Standard Power Automate and Power Apps are included in many Microsoft 365 business plans, but premium connectors, and some tenant settings set by your IT team, may not be. Confirm what your company allows before you build flows you plan to use at work.
  • Hands-on time. Look for courses where you build working flows (approvals, notifications, file handling) in class, not a lecture with demos.
  • Prerequisites. Comfort with Outlook, Excel and Teams is enough for a beginner course. No programming is needed.
  • Laptop and class times. Some courses expect you to bring your own laptop; ask.
  • Trainer. Ask who teaches and how learners rate them.

  • Mastering Copilot Studio: 8 hours (1 day), for IT and power users building custom copilots and agents. Funding is not yet available; the full fee is S$1,635 incl. GST. See the course finder for availability.
  • Excel VBA Software Design: 24 hours (3 days), for writing VBA macros, user forms and procedures to automate Excel workbooks. Better than Power Automate when the work stays inside Excel.
  • Microsoft 365 Collaboration Tools for End Users: 16 hours (2 days), for Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and OneNote. Useful groundwork, since many flows read from or write to these.

Other ways to learn Power Automate

  • Microsoft Learn and the built-in templates in Power Automate (Microsoft’s own free material): good for a first simple flow, such as saving email attachments to OneDrive. No trainer, no funding needed.
  • Udemy, Coursera and LinkedIn Learning: self-paced video courses from overseas instructors. Cheap or subscription-based, but not eligible for SSG course-fee funding in Singapore and there’s no one to check your flows or fix your errors.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Power Automate course in Singapore for beginners?

For office staff with no coding background, a 2-day hands-on course such as Build Automated Processes With Power Automate (16 hours, TGS-2026061516) is a good fit. It costs S$468 with 70% funding, S$708 with 50% funding, or S$1,308 without funding (all including GST).

Is there a Power Apps course in Singapore?

How can I automate repetitive office tasks without coding?

Use a no-code tool such as Power Automate, which connects Outlook, Excel, SharePoint and Teams through triggers and actions (for example, “when an email arrives with an attachment, save it to SharePoint and notify a Teams channel”). Start with one task you do weekly, build a flow for it, then expand. A course speeds this up because a trainer helps with errors and permissions.

Can I use SkillsFuture Credit for a Power Automate course?

Yes, if the course is SSG-registered. The three courses in this guide are, with course references TGS-2026061516, TGS-2023036311 and TGS-2025054773. Singapore Citizens aged 25+ can use SkillsFuture Credit to pay the nett fee after funding.

Power Automate or Excel VBA?

Power Automate is better for work that crosses applications (email, SharePoint, Teams, approvals) and can run in the cloud. Excel VBA is better for heavy logic inside a workbook and for desktop-only tasks. VBA needs some programming; Power Automate does not.

Do I need to know how to code to learn Power Automate?

No. Flows are built visually from triggers and actions. Comfort with Excel and Outlook is enough to start with the beginner course.

Yes. Call +65 6252 5033 (Intellisoft Training Pte Ltd) or +65 6250 3575 (Intellisoft Systems) to arrange a private class for your company. SFEC can be used for company-sponsored training.
